Hey everyone BIG NEWS from our OHS Hornets Cheer team. THEY WON STATE!!! WOOT WOOT. Go Hornets!!!

The Idaho Food Bank Mobile Pantry will be at Minico High School, 292 W 100 S, on February 25th from noon to 2:00pm. The Mobile Pantry Program distributes dry and frozen food to underserved, usually rural, communities. This program helps populations that do not have access to, or have difficulty accessing, food assistance.

Clarifying Statement: The Board of Trustees is constantly looking at ways to improve the educational system in Cassia County and to maximize the educational experience of our students. As a result, rumors often surface about various aspects of education in our district. At this time, the Board of Trustees has not made a decision on the type of schedule to be used for secondary schools throughout the district. They are not prepared to make any decisions regarding the 7-period day or the A/B schedule and will put in the necessary time to do the proper research and seek input prior to making such a decision.

Hey Oakley HORNETS!!! Tomorrow Oakley will be hosting Girls Basketball Districts at 6pm. Who we are playing is TBD and is dependent on the winners of tonight's game. Come cheer our girls on tomorrow at 6!

Great job yesterday by the Oakley High Cheer and Drill teams. Our Oakley High Drill team took 2nd overall in districts and will take 3 dances to state. Oakley High Cheer team took the District 4 championship. They will take all 4 routines to state. Great showing today from our players and coaches.

Hey OHS Hornets! Congratulations to Mr. Davis and Mrs. Hitt for making it through the first round of the Samsung Solve For tomorrow competition. They are now heading to the state championships giving Oakley a 40% chance of making it through to the next round. They and their student teams will be working to create 2 phone applications. Team Davis will be working on an app that can help people know what to do in Emergency situtations. Team Hitt is working on a app that will help people with mitigating cellphone usage. Together both teams hope to make a difference in the world. Wish them luck next time you see them!

Hey Oakley Hornets! The state championship is coming up, and we wanted to make sure you all remember a few key items! #1 The state championship is Nov. 17 5:30 PM at the Holt Arena in Pocatello. Tickets can be purchased online and the GoFan app, our dress theme for this is School Spirit, remember to BE LOUD if you can make it to the event. #2 We are having a community pep rally Thursday 11/17 at 12:45 PM and the eventual send off at 1:15 PM. Dress out in your Oakley Colors let's send these players off to state with a ROAR!

Attention OHS Hornets!! The Oakley Hornets HS Football team will play the Grace Grizzlies for the 1A-D1 state championship on Thursday, November 17th at 5:30 pm at Holt Arena in Pocatello. All Tickets must be purchased on GoFan. No tickets will be sold at the gate. If you can't make it out to Holt Arena you can also watch it online live at IdahoSports.com, or head over to Smith's Cafe where they will be watching it live. Hey OHS Hornets! Tonight, November 2nd, Oakley High will be hosting the District IV 1A/2A senior volleyball all-star game. Start time is 6:00 PM. Cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for seniors/students. Only IHSAA passes are accepted. Come cheer on these seniors!

Good Afternoon Oakley Hornets. The football quarterfinal game will be played at Oakley High School on Friday November 4th, versus Lighthouse Christian at 6:00 PM. All tickets will be sold through GoFan. There will be no tickets sold at the game. Ticket prices are $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for adults and seniors. Good Afternoon Oakley Hornets. This week is college and careers week. We have some fun activities planned throughout the week. Tomorrow is pajama day. See the attached photo for the rest of the week's dress up days.

OAKLEY COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT: We are looking for some volunteers who would be willing to reupholster some of our weight benches in our weight room. Good afternoon OHS Hornets! Monday is the first day of school, and we are all excited to see you. Just some last-minute reminders. 1) Come meet our new principal Monday August 22 @ 6pm. 2) We have our meet the teams meeting at 6:10 pm. 3) Following the meet the teams from 7-8pm we will be having our OHS back to school night, come visit with our teachers. 4) For those of you High School students that took your chrome books home this summer, please come to school on Monday with them charged and ready to go.... It has been a great summer, let's also have a great school year. See you all on Monday!
