Scholarships
Scholarships are very competitive but here are some tips to assist you in the process.
Apply for every scholarship for which you are eligible
Finish the application prior to the deadline
Have somebody proof-read the application before submitting it
Be sure to include all of your community service, leadership experience, and academic honors

The Coolidge Scholarship
Deadline: December 11, 2024
The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that recipients may use for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2026 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major.
Academic excellence is the primary criterion considered by the Coolidge Scholarship. Secondary criteria include an interest in public policy and an appreciation of the values President Coolidge championed. Successful candidates will also demonstrate humility and have a record of genuine service to their communities. A complete description of the scholarship’s criteria is available here.

The state of Idaho offers a variety of scholarships for anyone interested in continuing their education.
Jiffy Lube "What Drives You?" Scholarship
Deadline: March 10, 2025
The Jiffy Lube "What Drives You?" High School Scholarship program is a unique opportunity to pursue your interests, goals and ideas. A simple 500 words about what drives you? Finalist essays will be selected from the 500 word “What Drives You?” essays. Each finalist will be guaranteed a minimum $1,000 award if they create and submit a unique 1-2 min. video that expands on their essay in their own candid words, visuals, etc. The overall $1,500 scholarship winner will be chosen from these videos. Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation
Deadline: March 31, 2025
The Idaho Scholarship Foundation (ILSF), was founded in 2008 to ease the financial burden Idaho Latino students face when striving towards a higher education. Working alongside our generous community members, corporate sponsors, and volunteers, we provide deserving students opportunity to radically change their lives.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be an Idaho resident and be of Latino descent, DACA are eligible
Demonstrated leadership in school, community and/or other service organizations
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5+
2025 Burley Lions Club Scholarships
Outdoors Enthusiast Scholarship
Deadline: June 30th of every year
We at Elk Mountain Tents have experienced great joy and pleasure just being outside and enjoying all that nature has to offer.
We are looking to help out a stellar individual with an appreciation for the great outdoors who captures the adventurous spirit that has come to embody the Elk Mountain Tents brand. Applicants only need to answer two questions and there are no length requirements:

Please describe your financial need and how you would use your scholarship funds.
Eligibility
Applicants must be registered for a college, university, or technical school for the Fall term immediately following being awarded the scholarship. Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and share a love for the great outdoors!
